FROM THE CITIZENS OF DURHAM COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA

We call upon the President and Congress to initiate negotiations for an immediate halt to the nuclear arms race with the U.S.S.R, and to continue negotiations until a mutual, verifiable nuclear arms freeze on all further testing, production, and deployment of all nuclear warheads, missiles and delivery systems has been adopted.
